Changing Forms

I see you sometimes 

In the curve of my cheekbone 

The shape of my nose 

My child’s deep brown eyes 

Like there’s a part of you 

Everywhere I go 

As if you haven’t left 

Only changed your form 

I looked down from the mountain 

I looked up at the sky 

How can you already have gone? 

It seems you had just arrived.

I know this place is a temporary home
