Happiness

Happiness is only disguise 

When you’re wearing it

Cuz you’ve got no better place to hide 

Than behind a smile 

And I know it’s a lie 

And I know it’s fake 

And I won’t be surprised

When my happiness breaks 

Cuz it’s not the safest hiding place 

What is the purpose 

And where your meaning?

I’m overwhelmed by these thoughts 

And I’m feeling that 

I’ve spent too much time 

Pursuing happiness 

When oblivion would do just fine 

I know I’ve had enough 

I’m not giving up

I just wish I was oblivious 

Sometimes 

These games are so foolish 

And I am fool 

For playing along 

For following the rules 

When they don’t mean anything 

What is the purpose
