Just Because

Scales falling from the eyes

Reading between the lies

Heart pounds, too much to take

Hanging in limbo-land

Wringing my hands

Will it be make or break?

I’ve cause to get up and walk away

I’ve got cause to not believe a word you say

A rhyme with no reason

A breach, an uncertain season

If you don’t know yourself

Neither do I

Playing by your own rules

While I play the fool

Guess it was my turn to learn

Can’t escape the wheel

No choice but to feel

The hurt you say you didn’t mean to cause

I’ve cause to get up and walk away

I’ve got cause to not believe a word you say

A rhyme with no reason

A breach, an uncertain season

If you can’t know yourself

How can I?

How can I ?

How could you feed me all those lies?

Goodbye is not what you had in mind

But you risked it all just because?

You want me to take your hand

To stand by my  man

But you risked it all just because?
