Shelter of Your Wings

All of these days, longing to sing your praise

The heart within me has trembled 

In this worldly maze shrouded by a haze, 

No gold found at the end of the rainbow 

I cry out to you Lord 

Save me from this storm 

Everywhere I look it’s pouring down 

I will never make it out 

I can’t go on 

Without the shelter of your wings my God 

All of this time, thirsting for your love  

The heart within me hears your voice- and it’s enough 

Quiet the noise, fill the void, 

Only you can give me what I’m searching for 

And if all of this was to draw me near to you

I praise you all the more 

I give up- my struggles - Here they are

And I wait for you Lord
